It's a place I came to often during the Corona period
I haven't been able to come for a while due to my busy schedule, but I finally came back with a friend. Fort Lee Henry Hudson Drive.
The three of us were walking and chatting about this and that.
I felt like the stuffy feeling from being stuck at home was relieved and I could breathe freely.
📍Start at Ross Dock Picnic Area
This walk is Ross Dock Picnic AreaIt started from .
This is a picnic area located on the Hudson River and is the entrance to Henry Hudson Drive.
It's a good idea to start your walk right after parking.
A light drizzle was falling, the road was damp, the air felt cooler, the George Washington Bridge stood tall in the distance, and the Hudson River rippled gently.
🌉 Cloudy sky and George Washington Bridge

The sky was dark with lots of clouds
Thanks to that, the riverside scenery looked more picturesque.
The Hudson River ripples and roars,
The George Washington Bridge silently connects the city and nature.
Henry Hudson Drive is Scenic roads built between 1912 and 1940 and,
The Fort Lee area is said to have been a strategic point during the Revolutionary War due to its many cliffs and rocks.
🌿 Small flowers and fruits, living roadside

Red berries and small white flowers along the roadside
The leaves, soaked in the rain and turning greener, were fresh and pretty.
🦆 Ori, a peaceful scene in the city center

On the lawn, ducks huddle together and peck at the ground to eat their food.
The sight of them running around playfully with each other looked really peaceful.
This scene, contrasting with the dark sky, actually warmed my heart.
🌊 The wind blowing by the river
The strong wind blows and my hair flutters,
The waves were constantly breaking and surging.
That sound even washed my heart clean.
🗣 The joy of walking together
As the three of us walked, the conversation flowed naturally,
Before I knew it, the sound of laughter was mixed with the strong wind and flowed away.
The thought occurred to me, “I shouldn’t just stay at home, I should come out like this sometimes.”

💭 Today's walk in one line
A short but deeply breathtaking day.
Ducks, small flowers, strong winds, even fallen trees…
The fact that everyone here is part of nature felt special once again.
I'm so glad there's a space like this where I can take a breather in the middle of the city.
I must come again on a clear day next time.
